Is there a better way to access remote GUI applications (hosted on Ubuntu Server) from Windows other than X11 Forwarding (Xming+PuTTY)?

  • Seconding this. While X11 forwarding is a good choice for LAN environments with low latency, it falls apart when the conditions aren't as good. VNC over Wireguard or SSH tunnel is the way to go, my favorite is TigerVNC.
