Project mention: Notesnook – open-source and zero knowledge private note taking app | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-12-20The home page title has the word zero knowledge, I guess?
Their GitHub has slightly more info regarding this, but I agree that stuff like this should have at least a page dedicated for it that explains how they've implemented their security.
> Notesnook is a free (as in speech) & open-source note-taking app focused on user privacy & ease of use. To ensure zero knowledge principles, Notesnook encrypts everything on your device using XChaCha20-Poly1305 & Argon2.

I hate OpenSearch with a passion, an absolutely horrid lagging project that can't get basic autocomplete working (https://github.com/opensearch-project/OpenSearch-Dashboards/...)
but still manages to suck the air out of the room when you want Elasticsearch because AWS already has the company's billing details and no one wants to figure out paying another provider.
It would make it possible to use tasks.org on Android and another app like Sleek on Windows (or any of the other todo.txt clients).
For now the biggest clients are twitter-like clients. A few popular ones are Damus (ios), Nostros (android) or iris (desktop). You can find a bigger list of projects and relays here: https://github.com/aljazceru/awesome-nostr
Hello, how do you handle URLs? I used to save website links in a web browser, but I found it easier to organize them using a separate aggregator-like app. This way I can organize various links for easy access and grouping. Now I use Linkbox, but it seems like this project has been discontinued. There haven't been any releases since February, and it's missing some essential features. I hope there are more people looking for this kind of an app.. or some FOSS developer who finds this post an inspiration. Cheers!
