Is Dependabot actively maintained? I thought they announced a freeze on new features a while back, and their uv support never worked properly and has serious known security problems:
> There's an issue where security alerts for uv projects are not working correctly. Specifically, the uv.lock file is not being updated when security alerts are triggered.

Another one is how much time it takes to maintain vs how much interest it has. This is different than burnout.
I created and maintain example Docker Compose starter projects for Flask[0], Rails[1], Django[2] and Node[3]. I've had these going for 6-7 years and I maintain them at least once a week to keep everything up to date.
I used to also support Phoenix but I stopped after ~5 years because it was the least popular project but also took up more time to upgrade than all of the other example projects combined because Live View has changed in drastic ways so many times.
Plus it became no longer enjoyable to work on it since I stopped using Phoenix in my day to day as well. That combined with it being the least popular example app between the 5 projects.
I put together a 6 month plan to archive the repo in https://github.com/nickjj/docker-phoenix-example/issues/16, received zero feedback and then archived it at the start of 2026.

Ten days ago I participated at an online event organized by the Toronto Perl Mongers. where we had some really nice presentations about OpenQA and the Open Build Service, both written (partially) in Perl. I hope they are going to organize more such events about other projects written in Perl.

Kubernetes is not bad, it's just low level. Most applications share the exact same needs (proof: you could run any web app on a simple platform like Heroku). That's why some years ago I built an open source tool (with 0 dependencies) that simplify Kubernetes deployments with a compact syntax which works well for 99% of web apps (instead of allowing any configuration, it makes many "opinionated" choices): https://github.com/cuber-cloud/cuber-gem I have been using it for all the company web apps and web services for years and everything works nicely. It can also auto scale easily and that allows us to manage huge spikes of traffic for web push (Pushpad) at a reasonable price (good luck if you used a VM - no scaling - or if you used a PaaS - very high costs).
