Gotcha. Have you tried this integration for local control? Regardless of what you use, I believe you do have to use the Midea app to get it initially connected to your WiFi. (I went with the dongle + ESPHome route, so can't offer much first-hand experience here.) There's a long thread over in the HA forums that might offer some more insight if you haven't gone through it already.

I've added my L10s to the Dreamehome app, did the firmware upgrade to 4.3.6_3018 and switched it back to the Mi Home App. Since than, the Home Assistant Dreame Vaccum integration cannot load the robot via local connection anymore. The local LAN connection seem to be broken with this firmware. Has anyone the same issue?
