  • autocards

    Accelerating learning through machine-generated flashcards.

Project mention: Any automatic card creator? | reddit.com/r/Anki | 2021-11-18

More information for the content you're wishing to create cards for would be helpful to include. I've been toying with an AI project that was posted a while back called autocards which interprets written text and then generates questions. It isn't perfect, but provides a nice base to build on for learning new material. Copying text from Wikipedia articles or textbooks has produced some useful cards, but you still have to edit grammar occasionally and it doesn't work super great for subjects with irregular sentence structures (i.e. chemistry texts that use long notation of molecules including lots of dashes and commas)

  • speed-focus-mode

Speed Focus Mode add-on for Anki

Project mention: What is the best method for studying something you haven't learned? | reddit.com/r/Anki | 2022-01-20

Problem 2: There are add-ons for you to get a card in a certain time or it automatically marks it "Again". This is built into the iOS app. This is one I've heard is good. I've personally never used it, but I think you can also set it to only work on graduated cards, so when you're learning a card you have time to get it right, then when it graduates you can speed things up.

  • highlight-search-results

Highlight Search Results in the Browser add-on for Anki

    Project mention: Good Ctrl+F add-on? | reddit.com/r/Anki | 2022-01-11

i find these add-ons super helpful, op… sorry if this post is not formatted correctly, i kinda suck at commenting on reddit lol 01: highlight search results in the browser 02: search bar glutaminate also has this super dope add-on available on patreon called “search everywhere - ctrl+f find.” it’s a lot like the search bar add-on, except it has the two notable added benefits for my use case. benefit 01: highlighting of all hits of the search result, which also appears on the scroll bar benefit 02: searching both contents within fields and field names. this is super helpful if you are working with larger note types. being that the add-on is available on patreon, you should be aware that the add-on comes for a small price. for this reason, the “search bar” add-on is an excellent budget-friendly alternative (free!). here’s the link for the search everywhere - ctrl-f find add-on on patreon p.s. my anki version is 2.1.49 incase you are wondering
