If you have a laptop and have a multi-monitor setup, for instance, you can react to a monitor (dis)connection and invoke autorandr (or xrandr) to set them up. If you have keyboard(s) with different preferences, you can tune them when they're plugged in. Or maybe a battery warning. good morning guys, following this guide: https://github.com/deadc0de6/i3altlayout I tried to install i3altlayot on my gentoo, (I had previously installed python and pip), after giving the first command (both from my user and as root) I get this message: “Warning: Running pip as Root will break package and permissions. You should install Packages reliably by using venv: https://pip.pypa.io/warnings/venv”
