Looking for a wireless network emulator
I found and forked the https://github.com/whitefield-framework/whitefield project that shares the same objective. It simulates the IEEE802.15.4 protocol using NS-3 and lets you run your code that uses upper-layers implementation from RIOT-OS. It's not perfect nor a finished product but it gives you an idea of what you can do. In the end, it depends on the radio protocol you are using and what part of the network stack exactly you need to simulate.

A custom OS 0.1 version release.
There is a topic named "What Your OS Looks Like" in OSDEV forum, I got inspiration from it, especially nifanfa and LemonOS. And also a book named "30日でできる! OS自作入門".
