Does anyone have instructons/detail for blocking ads on LG tvs/webOS?
https://github.com/RootMyTV/RootMyTV.github.io allows to installation of https://github.com/webosbrew/webos-homebrew-channel but your TV may have been patched by LG already and RootMyTv won't work.

Is there a way to use homebridge for automatically switching LG CX sound output to ARC after each startup?
I think you should be able to use the webOS plugin for this, it has the ability to control sound output. I would just create n automation that's triggered when the TV turns on.

Congrats on the new tv OP. Since its a LG and if you have a iPhone you can use the homebridge plugin https://github.com/merdok/homebridge-webos-tv to have the remote directly in the control center and do other things like tell Siri to change the brightness, volume or automatically set the brightness depending on the time of day.

- Why are LG TV’s “not responding” is turned off? The one has always been that way, the other started do it after a firmware update months ago. They respond just fine if you turn them on, but nothing if off and you can not turn them on with HomeKit but you can turn them off with HomeKit.

I'm in the market for a new TV and I've been spoiled by homebridge-webos-tv for my LG G1. With the backlight control. Are there any other plugins for other brands of TVs that have plugins with backlight adjustments? Samsung - Tizen, Hisense - Android TV?

Best of the Two LGtv plugins
Wondered this same thing recently, went with https://github.com/merdok/homebridge-webos-tv as it had the most stars and installs. The author suggested in an issue that the other one was “a ripoff of theirs”.

HomeKit TV Best Currently Available
I found this plugin: https://github.com/merdok/homebridge-webos-tv It says I need to "enable mobile TV on" or "LG Connect Apps", but I can't find either option on LG C1. Do you know if the plugin works with C1?

Looking for a way to automate TV backlight
The webos-tv homebridge plugin supports brightness. They claim compatibility with all WebOS 2+ TV’s. I don’t know whether yours does. Brightness works great on my C1 using it.
What are some alternatives?
