Is there a way to use homebridge for automatically switching LG CX sound output to ARC after each startup?
I think you should be able to use the webOS plugin for this, it has the ability to control sound output. I would just create n automation that's triggered when the TV turns on.

- Why are LG TV’s “not responding” is turned off? The one has always been that way, the other started do it after a firmware update months ago. They respond just fine if you turn them on, but nothing if off and you can not turn them on with HomeKit but you can turn them off with HomeKit.

Looking for a way to automate TV backlight
The webos-tv homebridge plugin supports brightness. They claim compatibility with all WebOS 2+ TV’s. I don’t know whether yours does. Brightness works great on my C1 using it.
