Encryption for VimWiki
I just use https://github.com/jamessan/vim-gnupg and it works for any file from vim wiki to k8s secrets.

Using Vim as an encrypted password manager
There is also the vim-gnupg plugin for this. I haven't used it in a while but last time I did it was working well.

My Vim Notes Setup
Have you considered using the jamessan's vim-gnupg plugin¹? It handles all of the grunt work for you, and has been exposed to people for a long time(packaged in Debian and such).
For example, I spotted you don't disable undofile, which is fine if you're not using it. However, you'd have to remember to think it through if you were to enable elsewhere for some other reason².

Encryption for VimWiki;
So I really appreciate taking notes with VimWiki and recently I have thought about version controlling them using GitHub or GitLab, but ⠀I have ran into a problem. I cannot store them in plain text as I do not trust these services with my data, not even in a private repo. So I started digging and trying to find solutions stumbling upon git-crypt and vim-gnupg, but had a hard time getting them to work on Windows, so I wrote my own, in the form of a python script that encrypts specific directories you specify from the VimWiki. This way you can keep both plain-text files and GPG encrypted files in the same repo and version control them. If anyone might find this useful, the link to the repo I created with my solution is: https://github.com/adriancostin6/crypt-wiki Have an amazing day, fellow Vimmers!
