  • crypt-wiki

VimWiki with added support for file encryption.

  • So I really appreciate taking notes with VimWiki and recently I have thought about version controlling them using GitHub or GitLab, but ⠀I have ran into a problem. I cannot store them in plain text as I do not trust these services with my data, not even in a private repo. So I started digging and trying to find solutions stumbling upon git-crypt and vim-gnupg, but had a hard time getting them to work on Windows, so I wrote my own, in the form of a python script that encrypts specific directories you specify from the VimWiki. This way you can keep both plain-text files and GPG encrypted files in the same repo and version control them. If anyone might find this useful, the link to the repo I created with my solution is: https://github.com/adriancostin6/crypt-wiki Have an amazing day, fellow Vimmers!
