Whats wrong with my code? I'm trying to use entity compoenet system and started by creating a player, but it doesn't display the player it displays the white x sprite (1)
If you want to jump over the complexities of implementing an ECS, I've published a little library that handles it all for you, so you can focus on making your game: PECS.

Trouble creating subclass
If you ever find yourself limited by OOP (the Banana Monkey Jungle Problem comes to mind), I've created an Entity-Component System (ECS) library specifically for PICO-8 which I've found to be a more flexible way of building games: https://github.com/jesstelford/pecs
What are some alternatives?

mystery_house_remodeled - A ground-up recreation, for the Pico-8, of the first graphic adventure game.
picolove - PICO-8 Reimplementation in Love2D. Chat: https://discord.gg/jGEMUse6RM
