Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Anyone else using unifi to track the isp outages?
I'd recommend setting up SmokePing or Vaping to get a better idea of latency and connectivity.
-
Vaping Latency
Hi guys, Please someone help me run this app https://github.com/20c/vaping
- Vaping on Debian
-
Tool to monitor ping from 6 /24 segments to different services.
vaping is a healthy alternative to smokeping!
-
SelfHosted SpeedTest with DarkMode
There’s a reimagined project called Vaping (gotta love the names) which I want to try. Apparently it can visualise MTRs. https://github.com/20c/vaping
- What do you self-host that no one's heard of?
- Internet-monitoring – A Docker Stack which Monitors your home network
- Network monitoring - Very simple level with ping and text output

Tools to compare ping times between ISPs to common services
Check out the smokeping_prober. It generates high resolution histogram data that you can use to compare different paths.
-
How to track that my ISP is up?
I wrote this smokeping tool to monitor. I also use unpoller
-
External monitoring service for UDM
I wrote this tool to monitor my ISP connectivity.
- TCPING version 1.19.0 is out!
-
How many time series or DPM to ICMP ping monitor a device?
I am thinking this might be the exporter to use: https://github.com/SuperQ/smokeping_prober At the bottom of that page it says
-
"Modern" alternatives to SmokePing
I wrote a smokeping_prober for Prometheus.
-
How do YOU measure network failure recovery times?
For some stuff, I do end-to-end probin with a tool I wrote.
-
Is there a simple console (ncurses?) application to show a simple green-light/red-light availability (ping?) of a user-defined list of nodes in a single-screen map/list/columns format?
Smokeping Prober
-
Real-Time Performance Monitoring Software
I wrote a "better smokeping" tool that produces much more detailed data than IP SLA.
-
How do you monitor your networks latency, jitter, and packet loss?
I wrote my own variation of smokeping. It currently only does ICMP and UDP probing, but I've thought about adding things like TCP, HTTP, DNS, etc.
What are some alternatives?
dckr-mrtg - :whale: Docker MRTG Instance that will configure monitoring from the environment variable.
internet-monitoring - Monitor your network and internet speed with Docker & Prometheus
net-test - Monitors network connectivity for downtime.
blackbox_exporter - Blackbox prober exporter
iptv - Collection of publicly available IPTV channels from all over the world [UnavailableForLegalReasons - Repository access blocked]
yet-another-cloudwatch-exporter - Prometheus exporter for AWS CloudWatch - Discovers services through AWS tags, gets CloudWatch metrics data and provides them as Prometheus metrics with AWS tags as labels
Speedtest-Tracker - Continuously track your internet speed
Remote-Wake-Sleep-On-LAN-Docker - A docker image of sciguy14/Remote-Wake-Sleep-On-LAN-Server
checkmk - Checkmk - Best-in-class infrastructure & application monitoring
