I use https://github.com/ep1cman/unifi-protect-backup/pkgs/container/unifi-protect-backup to download and push motion events to my OneDrive. Makes it super easy to share clips.

I use this docker container https://github.com/ep1cman/unifi-protect-backup, which backups the alert footage to my nas and then that gets backed up to Google drive.

My understanding (again haven't tried this personally) is that there are integrations for Unifi Protect that will allow it to chime. There are doorbell specific events and services listed on this page [1] and an example [2].

Home Assistant connects to UniFi Protect.

Sure thing. I haven't thought to update the Unifi Protect integration in HA until now so I'm still running version 0.8.0 (January 28 release). I'll have to update it to 0.8.9 (link to Github repo) and see what breaks. HA is currently up-to-date.

You'll need HASS, and the UniFi protect integration connected to your CK2+/NVR/UDMPro.
