Photoprism vs immich vs nextcloud memories
And, if you are on Android, the unofficial third party app i'm personally developing for it, UhuruPhotos is quite full featured, with full photo backup and sync coming imminently
-
OK, so what apps did you end up actually using as a replacement for Google Photos?
Try out LibrePhotos. If you're on Android there is an unofficial client (built by me) that has many features of Google photos (full backup and sync coming very very soon). It's called UhuruPhotos https://github.com/savvasdalkitsis/uhuruphotos-android

Looking for photos management
Give LibrePhotos a go. It works with your current folder structure and has a nice (I think) unofficial Android app (full disclosure, I am building the app in question), UhuruPhotos (https://github.com/savvasdalkitsis/uhuruphotos-android)

AvaloniaUI (C#) vs Compose Multiplatform?
I have a project where I experiment with new ideas and concepts. This: https://github.com/Thinkrchive/Thinkrchive-Multiplatform. A little bit over engineered but that's the whole point of this project (to experiment with new concepts).

Any idea how could I make a collapsing top bar with jetpack compose? Similar to one in the video.
I use this: https://github.com/Thinkrchive/Thinkrchive-Multiplatform/blob/main/androidApp/src/main/java/work/racka/thinkrchive/v2/android/ui/components/CollapsingToolbarBase.kt

Nifty, well made, small apps you've run into?
There is a much more unnecessarily complex version of the app for Kotlin Multiplatform: https://github.com/Thinkrchive/Thinkrchive-Multiplatform, which I use to learn new things but the one above is much more simple.
What are some alternatives?
