warpgate - Warp Gate is a system-agnostic library module for Foundry VTT that provides a growing number of API functions to make programmatically spawning tokens and modifying those tokens easier for players and GMs alike. Warp Gate - This is a set of functions that greatly reduce the amount of code needed to do something.

A Macro for switching two characters while keeping the HP between the two the same
Sounds like Warpgate could be the module to use for this, see https://github.com/trioderegion/warpgate/wiki/Mutating-Goblin for a possible example of how to do what you're after.
