Leap motion is VERY disappointing in DCS VR.

No HOTAS disclaimer?
I can play DCS and use the Quest 2's built in hand tracking with finger gestures to interact with the cockpit and use my HOTAS at the same time. VTOL's controls feel unnatural and clunky to me. A lot of other sim pilots feel the same way and it's keeping them from purchasing the game. I can't help but feel like the dev has lost a lot of potential revenue.

Valve still has no support for Index finger tracking on OpenXR, and that's a problem.
No; as someone who has created software using OpenXR hand tracking that supports multiple hardware vendors, I can confidently say that /u/kapgre is entirely correct.

Rough prototype: similar to PointCtrl but with a Leap Motion, a free app, and some easy to find electronics
What’s it show up as on the PC? If it’s a HID game controller, it’ll also work with https://github.com/fredemmott/hand-tracked-cockpit-clicking with quest hand tracking
