Tk DND What???
That page refers to the tkdnd Tcl package that you can find here. That deprecation warning is there since the tkinter.dnd package exists or even longer 😀, so I think it'll be there for a long time. But until tkdnd is integrated into tkinter, I recommend my tkinterDnD package, which offers a slightly more user-friendly solution than the original tkinterDnD, or the one that is in this PR

Janky drag & drop animation using hello-pangea/dnd package (app dir)
I raised an issue on the dnd package here, but curious to see if anyone had the same issue: https://github.com/hello-pangea/dnd/issues/696

Which library is good for drag and drop functionality?
I tried dndkit recently but ended up liking https://github.com/hello-pangea/dnd waaaayyyy more. It's the active repo for beautiful-dnd which was made by atlassian and still used in their products.

What's up with rfd!?
@react-forked/dnd found a new home and has moved to a new organization. You should install @hello-pangea/dnd instead if you want new features and bug fixes.

Dnd-kit
Word of warning : that library doesn't work with react 18 strict mode, and it doesn't seem like a fix is coming anytime soon because as I understand it it's not actively maintained anymore. A fork is in the works but as of now still no strict mode support.

rbd is dead, long life rfd!
TL;DR react-beautiful-dnd a.k.a. rbd isn’t actively maintained anymore. I’ve decided to fork the project to give it a second life. It’s called @react-forked/dnd or rfd. Try it!
