That deprecation warning is there since the tkinter.dnd package exists or even longer 😀, so I think it'll be there for a long time. But until tkdnd is integrated into tkinter, I recommend my tkinterDnD package, which offers a slightly more user-friendly solution than the original tkinterDnD, or the one that is in this PR
