outlines is a complex subject, there are few few suitable solutions out there. there's this: https://github.com/gkjohnson/threejs-sandbox/tree/master/conditional-lines but the code seems very complex. i've tried to untangle it once but i have no idea what's gong on.

Are there any examples of this kind of "stochastic" texture splatting for threejs, that avoids obvious repetitions and provides nice, natural terrain textures with transitions?
