Running Homebridge natively on Synology NAS
The Homebridge Synology Package was recently updated to allow running Homebridge natively on Synology DSM 7, without the need for Docker. This means more NAS models are supported, including the entry level ARM cpu based units.

Homebridge using Onzu Synology package - upgrading to DSM 7. .
For those using the pre-configured package for Synology: https://github.com/oznu/homebridge-syno-spk When you upgrade to DSM 7.0 you will acquire an error it is no longer compatible. Note the docker container will still be running and I think you will still be able to use. I however wanted to switch to docker directly and can confirm if will work and migrate without issue (that I have seen). 1. Note the folder you store you config to, i.e. docker/homebridge and take a copy 2. Uninstall the Homebridge App (at this point you will lose the docker image). 3. Follow the steps here: https://github.com/oznu/docker-homebridge/wiki/Homebridge-on-Synology#homebridge-package-for-synology-dsm ensuring you use the SAME config directory noted in step 1. I have tested this and it looks to pickup where it left off. Just though I would share for anyone who had / has the same issue.
