Please don't unofficially ship Bottles in distribution repositories
Yep, I fully agree with you.

pip and cargo are not the same
From a distro package maintainer perspective: at least C/C++ has the ability to link to libraries with different SONAMEs (or with nix, any other library). Python is exhausting to maintain because it's environment dependent. And although, this is bandaided by things like venv, where you can have separate environments, many people want to use python which have native extensions (e.g. tensorflow, PyO3, tkinter, numpy, etc), which need to play nicely with every other exposed python module. It creates a lot of work pinging upsteams that their semi-active package should support the latest of a given dependency. At worst, you get situations like this

The Firefox Flatpak for example, only supports x86_64. This excludes ARM, POWER, and i386 users, I wouldn't be able to install the Firefox flatpak on my Raspberry Pi or even on a $4,000 POWER9 workstation.

Let's just kill the silly myths
The Firefox Flatpak for example, only supports x86_64. It's simply not realistic at this moment for those on other architectures (POWER9/ppc, ARM, etc) to make use of these alternative distribution methods. At worst, forcing the issue may cause these users to download binaries from third parties or compile from source simply to get their favourite software working.

Firefox(Flathub) doesn't launch.
I think Flathub Firefox issues are reported to: https://github.com/flathub/org.mozilla.firefox.BaseApp
