simplefog VS fogmanager

For #2, there's Simple Fog or Fog Manager. They both do broadly the same things: I believe Fog Manager is the more up-to-date/actively maintained one.

Install the Simple Fog module. This will allow her to hide and reveal the map as desired.

I wanted to make an image overlay to let my players slowly reveal the wonders of the game world while they crawl through it. I read that SimpleFog would be the best candidate for this purpose, but it just doesn't work for me.

So, I believe this is the latest implementation of simplefog: https://github.com/League-of-Foundry-Developers/simplefog/. I've used it without issue but I can't say I've heavily tested it.

FogManager lets you edit the fog of war for all players.

Selective fog editing is, uh, a little more complicated (and prone to jank). The full macro would work roughly the same way as Fog Manager does when its pushed to only some players, which is delete and creating a new fog exploration for the player in question.

I've used Fog Manager in the past, but now that I think about it, I don't know I've verified if it works with v9 … but Forge is also not telling me it's incompatible. YMMV. Good luck.

Fog Manager - more granular control for fog of war if you want to manage it manually for whatever reason.

Check out the Fog Manager plugin. It provides a way to manually edit the fog state (brush, shapes, polygon) and broadcast it to all players. You can then choose to either use walls &c. for the building interiors, or just push/edit/broadcast building state.

I was using the Fog Manager but it recently stopped working for me. I have raised an issue to see if they can help fix it. I did try Simplefog but it hasn't been maintained for Foundry 0.8.8.
