Pure JS is Hard
So you might be wondering why did I say pure Javascript is hard...well that's because it is. Not hard in the sense of syntax and etc but when we start building complex apps that manage state etc it becomes annoying very quickly and you realize why we have frameworks. This project aims to create a todo app with pure JavaScript and eventlistener goodness.

How to WebAR?
If you would like to use A-Frame to make an AR scene/site then check out AR.js (https://github.com/AR-js-org/AR.js). A-Frame's blog also did a 'How to AR' tutorial a few years back that may be helpful as well (https://aframe.io/blog/arjs/).

Confused, need some answers
My favorite way for something like your need of just image tracking with some effects is usually using AR.js as that’s the cheapest way and no random platform interfering, does require more code than platform based options though.

Mobile apps are super tough, and I've been there myself. For a quick proof-of-concept, maybe next time you could start with a browser-based implementation using something AR.js
