Something wrong with the plugin download?
I was following the setup guide from https://github.com/FFXIV-ACT/setup-guide so I guess that's out of date then.

Kagerou doesn't require a specific version, I know it says "OverlayPlugin 0.3.3.11 Required!!!" but that most likely is meant to say at least version 0.3.3.11, not only that specific one. You should always be using ngld's overlay plugin these days, it's a fork of the hibiyasleep's one which hasn't been updated in three years (even the downloads for that one tell you not to download them and get ngld instead), which is why many more recent overlays will have problems with it.
