Overseerr/Jellyseerr but for books?
The goodreads method others have pointed out works but the list import is much slower and its frustrating. There maybe a way to speed this up but its not intuitive. The other option is Searcharr script which is essentially a telegram bot: https://github.com/toddrob99/searcharr

Telegram Bot hosting
I also run a telegram bot on my Synology NAS. It’s a docker container, and since it doesn’t need inbound connections, there is no network setup involved. The bot I’m running is searcharr and there are instructions in the readme and a docker-compose.yml file that may be helpful if you’re a docker newbie.

Introducing Collectarr
I have to think more about how I want to integrate something like this into my ecosystem, and I'll probably end up writing something myself since I like things to be tailored to my needs (case-in-point: searcharr). One possibility is to continue running manually and have an interactive mode, listing each collection (along with the movies in that collection that I do and do not already have) and allowing me to decide whether to add or not. Another possibility is to build a web UI (always running, updating on a configured interval, maybe with notifications for new collections found) that will be populated with missing collection info and allow selecting/adding of individual lists as desired. I'm also thinking it might be worth exploring having a single list and adding movies to it rather than having a separate list for each collection; that may or may not be a good idea.

FlixPatrol has gone premium, any alternative for PlexMetaManager?
Digging into it more and more I discovered the FlixPatrol option to get the tops from the mainstream providers, and I know for sure this would be much appreciated among my users, as well as myself to be honest. I got very hyped by it, only to discover that due to a recent change of policy from FlixPatrol, support for it is being dropped.

Convenient way to enter a lot (100s of episodes) of TV metadata?

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me!! Recent streaming services, prices and shows getting butchered, finally decided its time. Here's how a basic self-hosted 'Netflix' would look like. Fully automated once its setup. Using only a makeshift homelab server from second hand parts.

Metadata question - what happens when you modify file locations or upgrade movie to a higher quality version?
You then want to make a single movie library that uses the /Movies path. That way when movies are "upgraded" you don't have to have that new library download new metadata. Plex natively doesn't have auto collection creation but you can use something like Plex Meta Manager. I'd try to figure it out using their wiki but if you can't or need help they seem to have a discord. Just quickly looking you can make collections by resolution so I assume there is some way to base it on audio type.

Best programs to use alongside Plex?
Plex Meta Manager (GitHub) for some automated library organization. This one has been a long process. It's a steep learning curve when you're first starting out, but my suggestion is to pick ONE feature and start there. That is, "I want a collection of the IMDb Top 250 Movies" and learn how to implement that, then move on to another feature you want to add. Currently, I have overlays for streaming services, audio quality, and video quality, plus collections for IMDb, award winners, filmmakers, actors, and production companies.

Easier/external playlist creation?
The default playlist config (referred to as PMM: playlist) has the following viewing order playlists pre-configured.
