Specifically for finding the source of an image, I like to use Search by Image if you want an extension, or ImgOps if you want a website.

Sauce. I recommend using Search By Image for when you don't know the source. In this case, SauceNao turned up the Pixiv page.

1) You are not posting enough. You want to avoid being spammy ? Wrong move, subs / guys don't care. Spam is the key. I got my most subs by far when I was spamming extensively on several accounts. I recycle one picture so many times, you would be surprised. I just try to avoid repostsleuth.com

Apparently the repost bot's default settings are very off, need to go to the repostsleuth.com and change the settings from there to see if there's a possible match.

We got hit by one of the repost bots today in one of my subreddits, but we had RepostSleuthBot set up there and the spam post was removed immediately by that bot. (Sign-up and configure at https://repostsleuth.com). The bot/spammer deleted the post after it was automatically removed, but I was able to use https://www.unddit.co to find the account that posted it so I could report and ban them.

While there are several tools one can use to check for reposts, repostsleuth is one of the first things I use as a moderator when I need to do that. However having to navigate between reddit and repostsleuth.com is annoying. This extension can be used to check for reposts of a certain post from the same page and adds a "repost check" button to posts, the interface allows you to alter match % as well.

try repostsleuth.com. Just tried searching by image and it seems to been posted at least 4 times already in this sub alone.
