Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Particle Life
https://github.com/bezdomniy/rust_particles
you can run it with: cargo run --release
No input yet, just randomly initialises params each run. But it runs with 4000 particles on my machine.

Particle Life
This is much much better, but I did an implementation of this using compute shaders in Godot 4, if that's interesting to folks!

Show HN: Demo of Agent Based Model on GPU with CUDA and OpenGL (Windows/Linux)
You should work on inter-agent interaction next! It's so much fun.
I have played with this a fair amount and put a couple of my experiments in a repo- both slime mold simulation and "particle life".
Here's the repo: https://github.com/jasonjmcghee/compute-shaders
And a video of the slime mold: https://twitter.com/_jason_today/status/1663378736098738177?...
What are some alternatives?
altphy - A little alternative physics experiment with invented particles
alien - ALIEN is a CUDA-powered artificial life simulation program.
imgui-godot - Dear ImGui plugin for Godot 4
particle-life - A simple program to simulate artificial life using attraction/reuplsion forces between many particles
ABMGPU - Agent Based Model on GPU using CUDA 12.2.1 and OpenGL 4.5 (CUDA OpenGL interop) on Windows/Linux
glfw-feedstock - A conda-smithy repository for glfw.
