How do you keep easyeffects filter always active?
The second is to always keep EasyEffects running. I do it running it in the background. But how do you intend to do so? Call it at startup or with a script? I made a script to toggle its execution:

Mouse events don't get registered when the pointer is on top of Google Chrome. Is there a way to circumvent that?
I have a spare wireless mouse I keep on my nightstand and I made a script to modify its behavior to control media stuff. It's working fine, but not on Chrome specifically. Any mouse even isn't registered at xinput --test DEVICE_ID.

Prime Video on Proton
Not true. When using browsers on Linux, at the moment, Netflix goes up to 720p and PrimeVideo 480p. With Netflix, you can use this extension, which is available for Chromium-based browser and Firefox, but PrimeVideo doesn't have something like that.

Switching to Linux
If your stepdad uses Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to watch YouTube, also install the h264ify extension to force YouTube to you use an older codec when streaming video which can be decoded in hardware by older GPUs. Daily reminder to use h264ify for every AMD user with GCN GPUs in order to properly use Hardware Acceleration on YouTube. It's limited to 1080p 60fps, but you gonna save a lot of CPU workload.
