How to work with signals? How to terminate a script with a signal handler function?
Hi, I'm trying to put together a little LED Christmas tree based on the PiHut RGB tree and their code, which can be found here. By default while the script is running it should control some RGB LEDs and upon pressing Ctrl + C it should turn off. Shutting down my Raspberry Pi Zero WH stops the LED updates, but the LEDs stay powered on.

You can get much better performance by coding a library from scratch I suppose. I heard pigpio in NodeJS would allow that but I never tried myself.
What are some alternatives?
pigpio - pigpio is a C library for the Raspberry which allows control of the General Purpose Input Outputs (GPIO).
