How to know how much time you've spent on Anki for a specific amount of time, say the calendar week?
Basically, typical Anki users use heatmaps to measure amount of learning. colors and number of cards in the heatmap clearly indicate whether a user is learning enthusiastically or not, so screenshots are intuitive.

Using Anki to learn Programming
When it comes to staying consistent with Anki, I would recommend installing the Review Heatmap plugin . With it, I was able to study for 690 days without missing one day.

How to fix heatmap colours not showing?
! It looks like you have an older version of the add-on installed. Please uninstall it under Tools → Add-ons, restart Anki, and then reinstall Review Heatmap from its AnkiWeb listing here: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1771074083 (code: 1771074083). After restarting Anki a second time, everything should hopefully be back to working order.

Did anyone else get a huge wakeup call from that grade school kanji list?
If you like web novels you could use my WNtoFlashcard python tool and "prelearn" the words instead of "postlearning" them: Deck. But it require some micromanaging with like the "Advanced Card Browser" addon so you can re-order the deck to the one you are currently reading and suspend/backfill cards if you get ahead/behind.
-
How to balance mining/ immersion
I personally am not really mining in the normal way of making cards after seeing the word (I wrote a script to mine web novels, which lets me learn the words before reading), so I just have to do the math of reading speed vs anki speed and suspend enough rare words that they line up. Or I have to specifically choose a book that is easy enough that targeting 100% words lines up the two speeds naturally which is better but often means less interesting stories.

Wanting to increase my vocabulary with anki… but not really sure where to start.
I am a programmer and I wanted to read novels so I wrote this python code to make me cards based on the web novel version of the book. Anki Deck

Language Learning Is Not an "Or" Activity
What I did was throw some python together that rips sentences/vocab out of web novels. Gave me this deck.
