For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Bug: wrong timestamps on user notes
Thanks for the report - this looks like it's been bugged for a while but wasn't seen until now because our handling of relative dates wasn't activating consistently until a fix in v6.1.5. I've made another fix and it'll be included in our next release.

/r/DIY is back open - More information inside.
Another area of impact is Toolbox For Reddit. Toolbox is a browser extension that adds a huge amount of moderation features that quite simply does not exist on any version of Reddit - mobile, desktop (new) or desktop (old). Without Toolbox our ability to moderate efficiently is gone. While Toolbox will not be immediately impacted by these changes, there are signs of negative change for the long term.

So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
While a lot of people see me and toolbox as one and the same thing, many different people contributed over the years and the project itself is not going away.

Announcing a more mod-centric user profile card and new post flair navigation on mobile apps
I'm not sure if you realize that you're being a whiny little shit to one of the (two, I believe) developers of Toolbox, which is what makes most Reddit moderation practicable.

Follow up on the Reddit API protest - future decisions - We need your opinions
Some of the active mods (including myself) use variety of 3rd party tools, such as r/toolbox and r/enhancement for effective moderation. I heavily rely on these tools (plus RiF, a 3rd party app that is going to close on 30 June) to moderate between three Alhaitham subreddits. While both developers indicated that they are working with Reddit to keep their tools going, I do not know how long their viability will be for. Reddit is sending a signal that third parties are not welcome and we are concerned for their future viability.

Reddit Doubles Down
For sure, and I haven't moderated in a few years so perhaps the internal reddit tools have improved since I last used them. They used to be pretty basic and cruddy. The moderation team I was a part of relied pretty heavily on the moderator toolbox:
https://github.com/toolbox-team/reddit-moderator-toolbox
I don't know if the proposed API changes will affect this specific tool, but I doubt moderators would be nearly as up in arms if their tools were going to keep working the way they had in the past.

r/Lexxe will be staying open!
Since Reddit first launched its Data API in 2008, we’ve seen thousands of fantastic applications built: tools to make moderation easier, utilities that help users stay up to date on their favorite topics, or (my personal favorite) this thing that helps convert helpful figures into useless ones. Our APIs have also provided third parties with access to data to build user utilities, research, games, and mod bots.

r/vfx will be joining thousands of other subreddits and going dark on June 12th in protest of reddit's proposed API changes
The /r/vfx mod team use a variety of 3rd party apps and plugins, both as users of reddit and as moderators. I could not use reddit today without old.reddit.com , RES / Reddit Enhancement Suite , Toolbox and more importantly Relay for Reddit on my phone (where 80%+ of my reddit'ing gets done)! The death of these services means the death of reddit, for me. And for other members of the mod team.

[Announcement] Reddit's upcoming API changes and impact on toolbox.
When I started out with toolbox I barely knew JavaScript, let alone how browser extensions work. So feel free to have a look at our issues, also take a look at our contributor guidelines and hit us up on discord.

Can Chrome Sync or Firefox Sync be trusted with sensitive data?
There are solutions external to the browsers that work pretty well and where you have control on your data :
Floccus for bookmarks (https://floccus.org/) : it works also on mobile devices : a great plus ! You need only a webdav server (or a Nextcloud account), I use Dave (https://github.com/micromata/dave)
Vaultwarden for the passwords (https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden)
A huge advantage of this solution is that you can have synchronization also between different browsers and on mobile devices.
