Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

RIP Google Reader
All these years later, I still use the Google Reader frontend (with newsblur as the backend).
It turns out that Reader's UI assets were stand alone enough that you could just implement the backend API and it all would work.
I saw this originally in a project for viewing your Reader Takeout data[1], and just built on that idea to make my own personal Google Reader experience.

apt is freezing on "0% [Working]"
Should have just gone with my gut before posting - it was one of my external repos. In my case it was the repo for https://github.com/shiftkey/desktop but for anyone else reading I would recommend temporarily disabling all non-Pop OS sources (whether you do that via the Pop Shop/Gnome Software or through the terminal with something like sudo mkdir -p /etc/apt/sources.list.d/temp/ && sudo mv /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/temp/) and then slowly re-enabling repos one by one and running updates until you find the problematic one.
