Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

holidays package just returning an empty dict {}?
Looking at the code, I'd say that since the base class inherits from dict and this part doesn't really do much for initialisation, I'd wager a guess that it's working as intended. The US one seems to use different holidays for every state, for one.

C# .NET Tools with System.CommandLine
The first is Holidays which gets all holidays for the current year by two character country code. Once installed, pass -c XX where 'XX' is a country code. This makes a call to https://date.nager.at/api/v3/publicholidays/ to get holidays for the current year and country.

Made a small app to learn Elm - this one helps you visually find potential long-weekends based on the public holidays you choose (and some other parameters). I would have never dared create this in vanilla JS but functional programming and Elm gave me the courage to try this :D (not responsive yet)
