pyee Release 9.0: Type Annotations, New APIs & More!
I just published a fresh release of pyee and boy does it have a lot of changes from the last *counts on fingers* 5 months! I wanted to talk about the changes and what went into them, as some of them are fun and interesting.
EventEmitter2
- EventEmitter: How do I stop calling more listeners?
-
I made a small library for handling async events in a type-safe fashion
Sorry, but I'm not sure I understand how these would compare, they are essentially very different. The closest thing to what the library does would be: https://github.com/EventEmitter2/EventEmitter2
What are some alternatives?
pyright - Static Type Checker for Python
emittery - Simple and modern async event emitter
DefinitelyTyped - The repository for high quality TypeScript type definitions.
Publish / Subscribe - JavaScript implementation of the Publish/Subscribe pattern
neovim - Vim-fork focused on extensibility and usability
eemit - Tiny event emitter library for Java
coc-pyright - Pyright extension for coc.nvim
php-event-dispatcher
pg-purepy - Pure-python structurally concurrent PostgreSQL driver
Causality - A simple thread-safe, in-memory bus for Swift that supports fully-typed Events and States.
coc.nvim - Nodejs extension host for vim & neovim, load extensions like VSCode and host language servers.
aiometer - A Python concurrency scheduling library, compatible with asyncio and trio.
