Is Rust a good candidate for future audio server projects? I'm curious what advantages it might provide over pure C in this specific area. I've noticed the handy little pw-viz is built in Rust.

These kind of routing issues may be solvable with Helvum or pw-viz. One of these PipeWire patch bays might be able to sort your routing problem.

I installed and configured pipewire according to the instructions from the Debian website. And let me tell you, it solved all my problems. The sound quality is good enough for practice, latency is very low. Currently, I just mute my guitar in YS, turn on ToneLib, adjust the volume on the system mixer, and play.
