Is Rust a good candidate for future audio server projects? I'm curious what advantages it might provide over pure C in this specific area. I've noticed the handy little pw-viz is built in Rust.

Pulse issues after switch to Pipewire in Ubuntu Studio 21.10
These kind of routing issues may be solvable with Helvum or pw-viz. One of these PipeWire patch bays might be able to sort your routing problem.

Tangent, but I often use pagraphcontrol for testing this kind of audio routing. It's a really nice UI imo but you can't save the config sadly

Plugging for pagraphcontrol https://github.com/futpib/pagraphcontrol. If your audio setup is even moderately complicated this can really help understand whats going on. Its also a cool introduction to understanding pulseaudio as an end user.
