Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.

Disclaimer: I have precisely zero experience with actually doing this. But I've looked into it before, and if I recall correctly the simplest method seemed to be Pushbullet. Github repo here.

Just FYI - there's also shoutrrr and gotify with similar functionality. I've tried them, they're very good, but not fitting my (very humble) needs.
