Am I right to hate cloud functions?
If you think all 3 are drastically different from each other, think again. For this reason, I created a single, simple but flexible, "nebulous" web app (Python/Flask) that can be deployed locally, or to App Engine, Cloud Functions, or Cloud Run, w/just minor configuration tweaks.
What are some alternatives?
dataproc-templates - Dataproc templates and pipelines for solving simple in-cloud data tasks
uvicorn-gunicorn-docker - Docker image with Uvicorn managed by Gunicorn for high-performance web applications in Python with performance auto-tuning.
gcp-flowlogs-reader - Command line tool and Python library for working with Google Cloud VPC Flow Logs
poweroff-google-cloud-cap-billing - 📴 Automating cost control by capping Google Cloud billing
pyDag - Scheduling Big Data Workloads and Data Pipelines in the Cloud with pyDag
micro-service-email - Deploy a self-hosted gmail microservice in minutes
dimutex - asyncio Python library for distributed mutex with GCS as a backend
spotifind-flask-api - REST API for recommending tracks and creating playlists on Spotify
