What am I missing...
You might also want to take a look at something like soundiiz. It can transfer playlists from one service to another, I've used it in the past, I'm not sure about the limitations of the free service but if I remember correctly it should be easy to transfer your playlist from spotify to plex and I think it also shows you the songs it couldn't find on your server. There are also alternative tools but I have never tested any of them: https://github.com/XDGFX/ultrasonics https://github.com/rnagabhyrava/plex-playlist-sync

Dealing with music playlists in Plex is painful. Is there a better way?
Compared to Spotify, creating, editing, and sharing music playlists is just painful and not very powerful. Is there a better way to deal with all of this? I've managed to get my Spotify playlists imported into Plex (using https://github.com/rnagabhyrava/plex-playlist-sync which worked OK, but missed finding a lot of songs in my library).

import playlist
I think I used this tool when I migrated: https://github.com/rnagabhyrava/plex-playlist-sync

Any way to combine playlists?
I just encountered this container which seems to be made only for sync, which seems quite good as well: https://github.com/rnagabhyrava/plex-playlist-sync

A way of scraping my Spotify playlists and automatically downloading them?
If you use plex and want to recreate the playlists in your plex I wrote a little project that could be of help. [Here is a link to the git repo and has docker support](https://github.com/rnagabhyrava/plex-playlist-sync)

Moving full time to Plexamp
I highly recommend Lidarr for organization/naming of your library. It's usually associated with piracy, but I just use it to maintain my self-ripped library and ensure that Plex has no issues discovering all my media.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me!! Recent streaming services, prices and shows getting butchered, finally decided its time. Here's how a basic self-hosted 'Netflix' would look like. Fully automated once its setup. Using only a makeshift homelab server from second hand parts.

Most "Private" Streaming Service?
Lidarr + Jellyfin?

🦙 Llama - It really kicks the amps' ass (Plexamp inspired Music Player)
Lidarr handles your music downloads, sorts them and adds the correct metadata for your library to be picked up by Jellyfin. It will also upgrade your media if a better version is found. https://lidarr.audio/ there is also lidarr extended, which has extra features https://github.com/RandomNinjaAtk/docker-lidarr-extended

This method doesn't help at all, or I am doing something entirely wrong.

Honest answer, is Spotify replaceable with Plex?
Lidarr (Music): https://github.com/Lidarr/Lidarr Lidarr can also pull down new album releases for artists, but that's something I usually have turned off (the artists I love I buy the CD for anyway).

Integrating SoulSeek into Jackett (and by extension, qbittorrent)
Just a side note there is lidarr that has webui that handles music, not tried soulseek looking at it now, so don't know if it's the same..
