Plex Script to Automatically Change Audio/Subs on a Season
Ever since I was recommended this script for batch setting audio/subtitles on a show, I've used it religiously every time I'm about to start a new show to enable some specific subtitles or change the language. It's a super handy tool, but I'm lazy. I didn't want to remote into my plex server, manually run the script, find the right show/season, AND select the proper audio/subtitle streams every time. Luckily, I'm not only a lazy person; I'm also a bad programmer.

Force subtitles for just one tv series?
This might be useful. I'm not sure this is the right/current tool. I know there's something prebuilt out there but haven't done it myself. Someone else will probably chime in.

Suggestion: subtitles and audio track per show/series
If you’re okay with a command line utility, I use: https://github.com/gstacks13/plex_set_tracks

Anime library text english but audio japanese ?
the only ways i’ve been able to find to deal with this are pastatool and this script
- This is brought up every once in awhile...but Plex sucks for foreign-language Anime

As someone who's started collecting anime, a real limitation of PMS has reared its head
This may not be a perfect solution, but I personally use it per show for anime with .ass files and it does wonders. Allows setting which sub and audio track per season or for the whole show. https://github.com/gstacks13/plex_set_tracks
- I wish I could set preferred languages for individual shows.
- I'll make any script suggestions you give

How can I get Forced Subtitles to play automatically?

Gzip compression questions for 2 use cases
I use Nginx for Sonarr/Radarr would I see any general performance benefit when loading their webpages in general? If so, what level of compression would be ideal for this case?

I am looking for a troubled/bad open source codebase
In the /r/selfhosted community Sonarr and Radarr are staples, but their code isn't particularly great and there are lots of bugs people just deal with. Radarr forked Sonarr, their interface is similar but they suffer from disjoint bugs.

/r/Plex's Moronic Mondays' No Stupid Questions Thread - 2023-07-10
There may be better places, since I've just stuck to the same one for years now (and don't need them often enough to look into alternatives), but I usually use either subscene or opensubtitles. There are also programs that can automate it like bazarr, but it requires you to also use Sonarr/Radarr.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me!! Recent streaming services, prices and shows getting butchered, finally decided its time. Here's how a basic self-hosted 'Netflix' would look like. Fully automated once its setup. Using only a makeshift homelab server from second hand parts.
Radarr: Automatically downloads movies.
- How do i move my files and rename them but also keep it seeding with the original title for torrents?
-
HELP! :)
Radarr is for movies. Sonarr is for TV shows.
