Is there something I can do to fix this?
I prefer PingTracer less pretty, but open source instead of a "try for free" thing.

Requested Time Out. Packet loss
I'm going to recommend using PingTracer, PingPlotter, or even good old UOTrace on the gaming servers you have experienced trouble on and see if the ping spike on the final server corresponds with a spike on one of the intermediate hops.

What software/tools should every sysadmin have on their desktop?
Oof, that is some steep pricing. PingTracer is open source and gets the job done for me.

major issues at work after switch to fortinet. about to lose my job.
You could try this https://github.com/bp2008/pingtracer. It pings and monitors each router in between your connection and destination so you get a better idea of where the packet loss is. Also use this to try and ping 8.8.8.8 and the FortiGate Appliance providing the VPN service i.e. the "server" address in FortiClient. Hope this helps.

What’s your favorite tools to use that makes your job easier? Software or hardware.
Pingtracer is a really nice way to visualize pings, and can send out pings pretty quickly to catch some more intermittent issues https://github.com/bp2008/pingtracer

What is up with the CONSTANT buffering?
PingTracer is a pretty nice utility for finding network issues.

Unable to List Task Sequence in Software Center
To any future comers, it seems /u/chfuchs comment about using https://github.com/rzander/sccmclictr is the solution. However, there are a few caveats. You must enable WinRM (even on localhost), which can be done via cmd prompt using winrm quickconfig. The other thing is, it must run as admin. So I can see the TS advertisement, and when I hit "re-run" advertisement, it immediately pops up in Software Center. I'm not sure what the issue is, but this works 100% of the time (tried it in a VM and two desktops, and a laptop all within different boundaries).

Client Center for Configuration Manager
Client Center for Configuration Manager is a ConfigMgr Agent troubleshooting tool that provides a user-friendly interface for a quick overview of client settings, running services and agent settings. vawlk uses it to "remotely troubleshoot SCCM client issues … This is just a gui for SCCM/Windows powershell commands, and it shows you a window for those commands as they run. Pretty sweet for an SCCM environment."

Use something like Client Center https://github.com/rzander/sccmclictr if you really want a gui to do it manually without locking the device.

Are you still using any of the rzander utilities with 21xx ConfigMgr?
Well, not Collection Commander, nor the "old" SCCM Client Center; but this one, sure... I still use it occasionally: https://github.com/rzander/sccmclictr
