INKY Frame + Raspberry Pi for a simple photo frame -- am I over my head?
The Pimoroni Inky Impression in your link comes with a number of useful example demos, including one (image.py) which shows an image of your choice. So the actual coding for your project is already mostly done :-)

Weather Display (Raspi Zero W + Inky wHAT)
I've been wanting to use my wHAT e-ink display for weather information, but nothing I was finding suited what I wanted. So I wrote up a completely new project using the provided libraries from Pimoroni for the display, while using pyOWM for the OpenWeatherMap integration.

The Quiet Internet Portal -- PaperPi now with plugin support for Crypto Currencies, RSS Feeds, Reddit Quotes and more!
Should be pretty easy! It's built to be flexible and work with different hardware. I just looked at the phat library and it should almost be totally feasible. Adding color support would also be possible, but will require a more work.

Small Crypto Tracker with an e-Ink display to stay updated (and easily track multiple assets' overall value)
Uses a 5.7" 600x448px 7 color ePaper/eInk Raspberry Pi HAT from Pimoroni (quite pricy though) with a Raspberry Pi 3 that periodically creates a screenshot of a web app via CRON and then renders it to the display – their repo makes it quite easy. A refresh takes around ~20-60 seconds.

I thought you guys would like this!
Yes I used their library, it's still actively developed.

I made a little e-ink newspaper that automatically scrapes a new front page every day. Now just have to wait for some good news.
Take a look at the html example in Pimoroni's library: if I remember right this was something to do with getting headless Firefox to screenshot a website, and display that on the InkyImpression. Phil Howard (Pimoroni's softwre guy) tweeted a couple of examples of his personal website on an Impression, so it shouldn't be too hard to get this to work for whichever website you want, surely.

Digital eInk picture frame which automatically shows photos you send via email!
I've seen this guide, and it seems the software comes with few examples and that this is their repo, right?

Rclone syncs your files to cloud storage
Says that Apple doesn't provide a multi platform API. It doesn't provide any official supported way to access iCloud from Windows, Linux.

Ask HN: Best modern file transfer/synchronization protocol?
seconding rsync and syncthing.
the server could expose an smb or nfs share, the client could mount it, and then sync to that mount.
rsync over ssh also works, if you do not want to run smb/nfs.
this is also a cool tool https://rclone.org/

Ask HN: How do you do personal backups in 2023? (Google and Dropbox issues)
rclone [1] to dropbox. works since years without problems

Which synchronization tool are you using together with the pCloud Crypto Folder?
rclone provides a special pCloud config option, which makes the setup straight forward. rclone can encrypt the data it uploads with its own encryption but not with the pCloud encryption. Therefore it can only upload data to the unencrypted pCloud folders, not to the Crypto Folder.

All I want for Christmas is
The arkclone project impliments rclone in ArkOS to achieve cloud saves. Not yet built in to ArkOS yet, and not a lot of recent traction on the pull request to get it added, but it can be installed manually.
