A neat coincidence: One of the projects I've fantasized about rewriting in Rust is peru. But that project started in 2013, back before Rust was viable (and before I had heard of it), and it's been complete and working fine for years now.

How do you keep tools/toolchain in sync with different cabal/stack projects?
For my team, I maintain a bash script to manage hierarchical workspaces in the local filesystem. Such a workspace is both (or either by disabling generating of the other) a Cabal project and a Stack project, with deeper nesting workspaces reusing packages from outer workspaces if not shadowed.
