How does JUCE fair with Jetbrains IDE's?
As long as you get everything set up correctly with CMake it is a much better experience than Xcode or Visual studio. I've heard good things about this template.

Any opensource VSTs that could use a vector artist?
I’ve got a phase distortion synthesizer (somewhat unfinished… need more time in the day lol) called Phantom. Currently uses a PNG background, and I remember it being a hellish process to line up the UI and all.

Haha yup! That series was my main inspiration for this project (I wrote a small bit about it in the manual).
What are some alternatives?
Band-Split-Delay - Band Split Delay plugin which will hopefully be released to the public one day. The aim of this plugin is to offer 3 bands each with their own reverb and delay settings. The inspiration for this came from FL Studio's Patcher, in which I've made this exact thing and it sounds awesome when paired with the right instruments.
