How do you distinguish an event from a task? (feedback much appreciated)
So, while using org-orgzly the other day, I noticed org-orgzly pushed an event to orgzly. This reminded me, that the script needs a way to interpret and distinguish events from tasks. Rather than just program it to how I setup and use orgmode, I decided to get some feedback from other users first.

Shell? Script to create org headings for each folder in a local directory?
However, starting from a certain point, you have to re-invent yet another wheel and then you'll notice that tools like https://github.com/novoid/appendorgheading (which is using https://github.com/novoid/orgformat) provides a much more convenient interface in shell scripts.

Merits of a specific date style?
For machine-parsing OrgDown, the non-ISO syntax is fine as well and libraries like https://github.com/novoid/orgformat do provide functions to convert from/to OrgDown syntax in Python (in this case).
