  • New node always behind and blocking hosts
    1 project | /r/monerosupport | 2 Oct 2021
I am running a node on my Unraid server in kannix/monero-full-node docker container. It took about 5 days to download the blockchain. Now the logs are full of messages about blocked hosts. In addition, the node is always 10 - 14 minutes behind. I am currently passing no parameters to the   Is this normal or are there settings I need to pass?   Reading a few bug reports and online posts indicate that the blocked host log messages are due to my node being behind of where the transaction that the host is trying to validate is. Is this correct or again am I doing something wrong with settings?

Yes, running restricted-rpc. Sadly the two docker images I thought looked most legit (https://github.com/kannix/monero-full-node/blob/master/Dockerfile & https://github.com/XMRto/monero/blob/master/Dockerfile) don't expose 18089. I haven't yet gotten around to building my own image that exposes that port.
