Some questions about RE for PS1 Games
3c. Check out other PSX game decompilation like PSX Doom, Castlevania, Silent Hill and MGS, or open-source reimplementation like OpenLara (Tomb Raider), OpenResident (RE1-2) and OpenHOW (Hogs of War)

Perfect Dark has been fully decompiled
Did you say MGS1? Some folks are already decompiling it: https://github.com/FoxdieTeam/mgs_reversing

A programmers' collaborative for a PC port of Metal Gear Solid 3?
There are people working on decompiling and studying how all the games in the series work in some capacity. (Some examples: Metal Gear / Metal Gear Solid / Metal Gear Solid V). Decompilation is much easier said than done, Programming by itself is difficult and requires you to think in ways that aren't natural for the human brain and in the realm of programming projects; reverse engineering/decompilation is very much one of the hardest programming projects one can take on.

Some questions about RE for PS1 Games
3b. Have some tools like mkpsxiso, psx_plugin_for_ghidra (or you can use other disassembler that aims for MIPS R3000) and also this new toolset (it was meant mostly for modding, but it's a great tool for real-time hacking and it also has decompiled function tester)

How to undub Popolocrois Monogatari (PS1)?
Simply replace the ...\M2F2\NA_BUR01.XA file with the one sourced from the unmodified Japanese version. mkpsxiso is all you need for the whole process.

How do you import game files into a PSX compatible .BIN/.ISO file?
mkpsxiso followed by using using a virtual drive to "burn" it to a virtual disc so you can use a program like ImgBurn to convert it to .bin/.cue

I'm trying to compile the PS1 port someone made on Github, but I suck at life and can't figure this shit out. pls help
I can't figure out how to compile the source code for the PSX port someone made. The Project's on Github, and I've been trying to figure out how to compile it for the past 2 hours. Compiling it requires 2 more files, nolibgs_hello_worlds and mkpsxiso, which itself seems to require tinyxml2, which I can't seem to compile in Visual studio. As is probably obvious by now, I ain't no coder, this is my first time trying to compile any GitHub source code. But damn it, I wanna play this game on my PS1, I will figure it out. does anyone have a straightforward guide that even an absolute monkey brain moron like me can understand, or better yet, an already compiled version of the room that I can burn to a CD and play on my modchiped PS1?
What are some alternatives?
