Can I get some feedback on CLI tool prototype?
I need to learn Rust for my job and thought that a simple CLI tool would be a perfect start to building with it. The tool is called tio and it (atm) is a simple CLI for broadcasting and searching for messages on the IOTA Tangle.

Goshimmer in rust
I think the Bee node (the Rust implementation of the IOTA 2.0 node) is a little bit 'under the radar' right now. However it is progressing quite nicely. See here: https://github.com/iotaledger/bee/branches

Hornet 1.0.5 released - Autopeering is back. Faucet plugin now integrated. Running private Tangle got easier.
Hornet is one of two node softwares for operating the IOTA network. The other is Bee.

Which networking layer is the iota tangle used?
IOTA Nodes, written in rust now, use UDP & addreses/domains to gossip. Yes you can use docker to run an IOTA node called bee now; a dockerfile is not available but could easily be made. There is a dockerfile for hornet.
