I wrote a blog about LoRa, featuring a modem driver I wrote in Rust
[There is](https://github.com/ivajloip/rust-lorawan), and I have been experimenting with it a bit using an sx1276 modem and an stm32f103 mcu. I haven't fully gotten it to make a connection yet, though, but when I find the time, I'll write another blog post about it :)

Goshimmer in rust
I think the Bee node (the Rust implementation of the IOTA 2.0 node) is a little bit 'under the radar' right now. However it is progressing quite nicely. See here: https://github.com/iotaledger/bee/branches

We have released bee-node-0.2.0
https://github.com/iotaledger/bee/releases/tag/v0.2.0 !

Hornet 1.0.5 released - Autopeering is back. Faucet plugin now integrated. Running private Tangle got easier.
Hornet is one of two node softwares for operating the IOTA network. The other is Bee.

Which networking layer is the iota tangle used?
IOTA Nodes, written in rust now, use UDP & addreses/domains to gossip. Yes you can use docker to run an IOTA node called bee now; a dockerfile is not available but could easily be made. There is a dockerfile for hornet.
